Our client's story on the importance of life cover

This week, Rachel asked me to write the blog and when thinking of what to write about, I ended up going back to is a day that really sticks in my mind and it involves an incredibly courageous lady called Rosemary Barry. After the tragic loss of her husband whilst on holidays, Rosemary approached Dermot MacCurtain, and asked if she could make a video on life cover and the impact it had on her situation and life.

We didn’t discuss in much detail with Rosemary before the recording how we would approach, so thinking of ways to make the recording easier for her, I had prepared some questions and in my own mind had planned along with the videographer that we would take our time and stop and start as we went.

I still remember the day, very clearly and still recall how Rosemary, simply sat down and asked if she could tell her story first and if we needed to that we could then revert to the questions. We never got to the questions, one take, no stoppage Rosemary told her story. How she had to strength to hold all of her emotions together and deliver her message in such and eloquent and respectful way, still amazes me.

Rosemary made this video to inspire others, and we are honoured to share her message.

The video is now a number of years old, is slightly old fashioned in its design (we have even shorted our name since!) but the message is still incredibly powerful and is a reminder for us all to enjoy every day as it comes and protect the ones closest to us.
