Ronan Goggin
Ronan has considerable experience in the Financial Sector having spent 10 years in Stockbroking prior to joining O’Leary Life, as Managing Director Designate.
Professionally, Ronan holds a Joint Hons degree in Economics & Finance and is an affiliate of the Chartered Securities Institute, UK. Ronan also retains his Registered Stockbroker Status, through professional designation.
Married with 2 daughters, most free time outside of the office is spent enjoying family time on the waters of West Cork.

Helen Kenny
Helen has worked with O’Leary Life since July 1999 and was promoted to Director in May 2005.
In her previous employment with Scottish Provident, Helen gained extensive experience and knowledge on all aspects of pensions and life assurance, particularly on With-Profit arrangements.
She now specialises in corporate pension arrangements.
She is a Fellow member of the LIA since 1997 and is a Pension Trustee Practitioner.
In her spare time Helen enjoys entertaining her 2 children, playing hockey and baking her infamous toffee squares.
Founding Director
Tim Goggin
Tim founded O’Leary Life with Arthur O’Leary in 1973. Since then, he has provided specialist advice with regard to personal finances, pension benefits, tax planning etc., and his vast experience ensures expert knowledge in all areas of financial planning.
Widely recognised as being one of Ireland’s most experienced brokers, Tim continues to guide the organisation with the same ethics and client focused ethos that has prevailed for almost 50 years.
Outside of the office, Tim makes a getaway to West Cork where he enjoys nothing more than a long walk or a day on the water.
Operations Director
Brian Goggin
Brian joined O’Leary Life in 2004 have spent 2 years working with Zurich Life and Irish Life as a financial advisor.
Brian holds a Bachelor of Business Studies and is also a Qualified Financial Advisor. Along with his role of Operations Director, Brian also advises on all aspects of financial planning
On his off time, Brian can usually be found spending time with his wife Alex and two daughters or off sailing in his home town of Kinsale
Associate Director, Senior Pensions Consultant
Brian Delee
Brian joined O’Leary Life in 2007 having worked with one of the largest brokers in the pensions industry for 15 years.
Brian is the Consultant responsible for our Group Schemes and new business.
Brian has an honours degree in Maths and History. Family, Liverpool FC and Golf are his main interests, he has yet to confirm in which order.

Cathal Flynn
Cathal joined O’Leary’s in 2012 and has a wealth of experience in the financial services sector gained from working with insurance companies and advisory firms for over 20 years.
Cathal is a Qualified Financial Advisor and a Fellow of the Life Insurance Association. He advises clients in all areas of personal financial planning and products and also advises in the corporate pensions area.
Away from the office Cathal enjoys playing a number of different sports, does some Underage GAA coaching and is a member of Toastmasters.

Rita Gould
Rita started her career with AIB Bank’s International Banking Division working for 6 years in the FX Treasury & Capital Markets.The following 9 years were spent working in the Retail Banking network in a various number of locations throughout the country, before Rita finally returned to Cork at which stage she also made the decision to work in industry for a number of years as an Accounts Administration Manager.
She joined the Company in 2011 bringing with her a wealth of experience in financial services, private industry, and a strong customer service ethos.
To chill out, Rita loves to travel, go hill walking and read books.

Natasha Doyle
Natasha has worked with O’Leary Life since March 2000, having previously worked for Friends First.
Natasha advises on Group Pension Schemes as well as Individual and Executive Pensions Arrangements specialising in retirement advice and claims.
Natasha holds both the QFA and L.I.A.P. (Dip) qualifications. In her spare time, Natasha enjoys cooking and entertaining.

Alan Cullagh
Alan joined O’Leary Life Ltd in 2007 and completed his QFA Diploma shortly afterward.
He advises on all products in the marketplace, including Pensions, Life Assurance, Investments, Disability Cover and Savings.
Alan holds a Certificate in Stockbroking and has completed the Pensions Board Trustee Training Programme.
Having completed the Professional Diploma in Retirement Planning Advice, Alan has recently undertaken the Professional Certificate in DC Pension Scheme Trusteeship and was awarded designation PTP.
Outside of O’Leary Life & Pensions Ltd, Alan has a keen interest in the world of triathlons, running and rugby.

Marianne O’Sullivan
Marianne joined O’Leary Life in July 2004 and completed a Bachelor of Business Studies in 2005.
Marianne qualified as a Financial Advisor in 2010. Marianne is responsible for the full administration of life and serious illness business both for new and existing clients.
In her free time, Marianne enjoys the great outdoors, fitness, music, reading and cinema.

Jill Heffernan
Jill joined O’Leary Life in November 2012 and holds her APA designation in Life and Pensions.Jill started out her career with National Irish Bank in 1992 and worked mainly in retail banking. In 2009 she became Head Customer Service Advisor in the branch until 2012.
In her free time she enjoys walking and spending time with her two children.

Angela Osborne
Angela joined O’Leary’s in 2013 and has a wealth of administration experience in the financial services sector gained from working with insurance companies and advisory firms for over 20 years.
Angela qualified as a Financial Advisor in 2009.
She is responsible for the administration of life, serious illness, pension and investment business both for new and existing clients.
In her free time, Angela enjoys running, reading and meeting up with friends.

Sarah joined O’Leary Life in February 2021. She has 11 years experience in the Life, Pensions and Investment Industry. Sarah holds a QFA diploma and is responsible for the administration of Group Pension Schemes.

Deirdre Gibbons
Deirdre has considerable experience in the legal sector, having spent over 10 years working as a Solicitor prior to joining the Compliance Team at O’Leary Life in 2018.Professionally, along with her admission to the roll of Solicitors in Ireland, Deirdre holds an honours degree in Law and European Studies from the University of Limerick.
Outside of compliance, Deirdre likes spending time in Dingle, art and keeping fit.

Rachel O’ Shea
Rachel joined O’Leary Life in 2018 and holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and QFA diploma. Rachel is a Qualified Financial Adviser and holds the SIA designation for specialist investment advisors. Rachel heads up the Mallow branch of O’Leary Life Ltd along with servicing the Cork City area.
She relocated to Cork from the US in 2017 bringing vast experience in insurance and financial services with the US Fortune 50 company, State Farm.
Rachel was a board member of the Cork BITA Chapter from 2020-23 as Director of Finance.
In her spare time, Rachel enjoys traveling with her husband and two children.

Des Cahill
Des joined O’Leary Life as a Qualified Financial Advisor in 2019 to become our Business development Manager .
Des’s history as a business owner for over 20 years allows him to view our actions from the customers perspective .
Des is a member of numerous boards across the city . He has served as an elected member of Cork City Council since 2009 and had the honour of been Lord Mayor of Cork in 2016/2017.
Des has very quickly developed new relationships with many companies across Cork and O’Leary Life.

Evelyn Barrett
Evelyn recently joined O’Leary Life having travelled and worked extensively in many different countries.

Declan joined O Leary Life in December 2023 . He previously spent 17 years in Ulster Bank based in the branch banking network. Declan received his QFA Diploma since 2010.
He is responsible for the administration of Group Pensions. In his spare time he enjoys running, going to GAA matches and spending time with family and friends.

Dermot MacCurtain
Dermot joined O’Leary Life in 1978 and retired in 2023 after 45 years of advising clients.
Dermot is well known for his contribution to Cork Hurling, holding a number of All Ireland medals, and was a member of the last 3-in-a-row team of 1976-1978.
Outside of the office, Dermot enjoys spending time with his wife and 4 children, and loves nothing more than getting away to Rosscarbery at weekends.
